Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow cakes to cool completely before cutting into layers.
  7. For buttercream, beat salted butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla. Adjust with milk if too stiff and color with electric green food coloring.
  8. Layer cake pieces and frosting in jars, finishing with fondant decorations.
