  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder

  • 2 (14 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans (drained)
  • 2 tablespoons masa harina

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, warm the canola oil. Add the diced onion and sauté until soft, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in the garlic and ground beef until browned.
  2. Lower the heat to medium-low and mix in Italian seasoning, chili powder, smoked paprika, crushed tomatoes, drained beans, jalapeños, and seasonings.
  3. Allow the chili to simmer for approximately 10 minutes before adding masa harina to thicken it. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
