  • ¼ cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes (for streusel)

  • 12 tablespoons milk or cream (for glaze, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Make the streusel by mixing flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon in one bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbly; refrigerate.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
