Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (cut into bite-size pieces)
  • 12 oz medium pasta shells
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup of pasta water and drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and season steak with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sear until browned; set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese and seasonings until thickened.
  4. Combine cooked pasta with sauce; if too thick, add reserved pasta water. Return steak to skillet; mix gently until heated through.
  5. Serve garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
