- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons warm water
- 1 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 3–3¼ cups flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
- Marinara sauce
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy.
- Add salt and oil; mix in flour gradually until a soft dough forms. Knead until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for an hour until doubled.
- Punch down dough and divide into 16 pieces. Roll each into a rope and shape into bones.
- Arrange on a baking sheet to rise again for about 45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) during the last rise.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown; brush with butter and sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan.
