  • 1 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy.
  2. Add salt and oil; mix in flour gradually until a soft dough forms. Knead until smooth.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for an hour until doubled.
  4. Punch down dough and divide into 16 pieces. Roll each into a rope and shape into bones.
  5. Arrange on a baking sheet to rise again for about 45 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) during the last rise.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown; brush with butter and sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan.
